ASKING AND GIVING OPINION (GRADE 10 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)

1. Introduction

Asking and giving opinion is an essential speaking skill that allows students to express their thoughts, ideas, and viewpoints politely and clearly. This material helps Grade 10 students practice expressing opinions in formal and informal situations.

2. Social Function

- To express thoughts, ideas, or viewpoints.

- To ask other people’s viewpoints.

- To agree or disagree politely.

- To build interactive communication.

3. Expressions for Asking Opinion

Common expressions:

- What do you think about ...?

- What is your opinion?

- How do you feel about this?

- What are your thoughts on ...?

4. Expressions for Giving Opinion

Direct expressions:
